OS 환경 : Oracle Linux 8.7 (64bit)
DB 환경 : Oracle Database 19.32.0.0
방법 : 오라클 19c 타임존 업그레이드 가이드
19c 환경에서 ru 패치를 하게 되면 타임존 파일도 새로 $ORACLE_HOME에 저장됨
하지만 자동으로 타임존이 업그레이드 되지 않기 때문에 수동으로 업그레이드 해줘야함
본문에서는 2개의 스크립트로 업그레이드 하는 방법을 설명함(@?/rdbms/admin/utltz_upg_check.sql, @?/rdbms/admin/utltz_upg_apply.sql)
utltz_upg_apply.sql 스크립트 내에 있는 명령으로 수동으로 PLSQL을 하나씩 입력하여 패치할수도 있지만 이 스크립트를 사용하는것이 편함
테스트
현재 환경은 19.31에서 19.32로 패치한 상황임

이 단계에서 현재 타임존 버전은 몇인지, ORACLE_HOME에 존재하는 최신 타임존 버전은 몇인지를 확인함
*이 단계에서 문제가 나오는 경우 MOS 노트를 보고 꼭 해결한뒤 타임존 업그레이드를 진행해야함
타임존 업그레이드
*타임존 업그레이드시 자동으로 db가 2번 재기동됨
*1번은 OPEN MIGRATE 모드(UPGRADE 모드)로 open 되고 여기서 타임존이 업데이트 되고 이후 SHUTDOWN 후 정상 모드로 다시 open 됨(alert log를 보면 확인 가능함)

참고로 타임존 파일은 $ORACLE_HOME/oracore/zoneinfo에 존재함
타임존 단일 패치를 하게 되면 이 경로에 새로운 타임존.dat 파일이 생성됨

결론 :
db 업그레이드 또는 ru 패치 후에는 타임존 업그레이드를 진행해줘야함
하지않을 경우 추후 특정 작업시 문제가 발생할수 있음
다운타임을 가질수 있는 ru 패치 시간에 같이 하는것이 좋음
